Scholarship / Financial Aid

Scholarship/Financial Aid

There are several different forms of aid that are available to help pay for further education:

The following aid types are financial aid that does not have to be repaid.  However, students must meet their criteria in order to qualify.

  1. Scholarships - Scholarships are usually merit based (based on a skill or ability - for instance good grades).
  2. Grants - Are often need based (family is below a certain income level).

The following type of aid needs to be paid back:

  • Student loans - Like a bank loan, but for students going to school.

Another option is to work while you further your education.

  1. Work study jobs are usually part time jobs that are done on campus.
  2. Full time job - This involves a lot of planning to see if you can actually earn your degree or certificate while going to school full time.
