Mrs. Harris became a teacher because she loves people and art. She believes art gives students a powerful way to focus, escape, express themselves, and create. And as someone who loves to talk and connect with people, she’s right at home in the classroom!

Please help us welcome Ms. Christiansen, our new Science Teacher at TH Bell! 🔬💙❤️
🐠 Fun Fact: Ms. Christiansen is Thai and loves going back home to visit family, eat amazing Thai food and desserts, and learn about unique animals and bugs! She studied zoology and entomology and currently teaches aquaculture at Fremont High School, where she takes care of more than 200 fish and two axolotls! 🐟🦎
❤️ She Loves: Her family, her fluffy cat Lily, art, binge watching shows, reading, and ice skating.
🔬 Why She Teaches: Ms. Christiansen loves science and wants her students to love it too! She wants her classroom to be a place where everyone feels welcome, included, and excited to learn. Most of all, she wants her students to feel like real scientists: curious, confident, and never afraid to explore and ask questions.

She dreamed of becoming a teacher as a child, earned her degree from Weber State, and after raising her family, followed her passion into the classroom. She has taught 5th and 6th grade and is excited to begin this new chapter teaching English at TH Bell!
