Minutes from October 6, 2021

Elections were held, With Dr. Eskelsen being voted in as Chair, and Marcy Poehls as Vice Chair.

Training was discussed.  Members have watched training video in the past. 

Principal report

Mr. Ward explained how the school is continuing to prepare and do things because of Covid.  This includes electrostatic sprayers, lunches staggered and kids can eat outside or in the halls.  Classrooms are continuing to space students the best they can, and have seating charts up to date for contact tracing. 

The upcoming school bond was discussed, and what the bond is covering. 

With the ESSER money, T. H. Bell is in the process of hiring another student advocate. 

The Teacher and Student Success Plan (TSSA) goals were discussed and shared as community council was a part of the decisions.  Goal 1 covers mental health counselor, technology needs, Homework Haven, Latinos in Action and Hope Squad registration.  Panorama student information system. 

The Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund (ESSR was introduced.  

The Plan includes adding an additional student advocate, teacher buyout, training for Ms. Fulgham to be a part of Weber Secondary Tier I Text project.  Summer salaries for summer school credit recovery.  There will be a carry over to pay for teacher buyout for reading and student advocate. 

Trustlands plan 2020-2021 reviewed.
