An eCYBERMISSION project becomes news!

3/7/14 - Washington Terrace -  A project with a big idea, has become noteworthy in that the idea came from three 9th grade boys at T.H. Bell Jr. High.  The boys, Trenden, Brenden, and A.J. came up with a way of generating electricity using wastewater.   Their turbine has put them in the local news. They were the State Winners with their group being named the "UTKugelblitz".  With the win, the students met Governor Gary Herbert, and have been featured on the Weber School District's website.   Recently, they have also made the local news with KUTV interviewing the three students at T.H. Bell as seen below.

The eCYBERMISSION mission project is a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition that is sponsored by the U.S.Army.   The program involves interactive activities and inquiry based learning.  Students at Bell are guided by science teachers, and they also have mentors that come from Hill Air Force Base that are involved with the students as well.
