    • CIPA
    • APEX review
    • Bonneville Cone Project
    • Friends Hotline
    • Textbooks for Mr. Sherman in the Technology classes and Mrs. Anderson in Choir with the Smart Music App.

  • Turned the time over to Mr. Ward for meeting business.

  • Review of the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) with the help of District Tech, Quin Henderson.
    • They filter by grade and by school level - within our school.
    • There are also several blocked categories.
    • Google Image Picture Searching
    • Social Media Blocking
    • WSD Policies in place to allow teachers to use Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn for teaching purposes.
    • Safe Image Search is something that the district uses to help filter.
    • Student Device and Desktop Management Systems
      • How we filter devices that go home with students
      • How the district has control over which types of Apps are being downloaded onto those electronic devices
      • Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA)
      • Common Sense Digital Media - within the program they are also age appropriate.
      • Parents can go on the website and watch these . The curriculum is there for them to preview as well.
      • At Bell, we taught these courses during Advisory (3) in the 1st quarter and (2) in the beginning of the 2nd quarter during Advisory.

  • Opportunity through the district to change our portable laptop lab into a Chromebook lab for $2,800.00.  This is a onetime charge.  Chromebook works so much faster, and more effective in the building than the laptops.  Our current portable Chromebook lab is always being used.  The laptop lab is not used as much because of the inefficiency of them working in the building.  Motion was made by Mindy Ludlow for the conversion, and 2nd-ed by Amy Morgan.

  • Next meeting is scheduled for February 10, 2016 to finalize 15 -16 and approve the plan for 16-17.
